16mm Movie Collection

Click Picture to Enter Collection

In March of 2004 I started collecting 8mm film in hopes of making a few stop-motion animated movies. In the process, I also found some Abbott and Costello (A&C) Super 8mm films listed for sale. I purchased a few of these and a Bell & Howell Super 8mm Sound Movie Projector. The projector works very well with the Super 8mm movies I shot in the early 80's as well as those produced commercially. As my interest in Abbott and Costello grew, I realized I would have to switch to the 16mm films to get the full shows and movies.

I purchased a Bell & Howell 2592 16mm projector from a guy on Ebay. Yes the kind we all saw at church or in school. With the purchase of the projector I was ready for the films.  I purchased a few A&C film titles including Full length movies, a couple of "shorts" and a few of the TV shows. I met (via Email) a couple of avid collectors and made some good contacts. It didn't stop there though. I also purchased a couple of old TV shows, children's stories and some old training films. My collection is on hold currently due to Capital Improvements at the house but I'm always watching for films titles.

Truly, nothing looks as good as a film shown on the big screen with the ticking of the projector, the speckled leader and the famous 6-5-4-3-2 count down at the beginning. I am always ready to dig out the projector, screen and movie of your choice for a quick screening. Checkout what is in my collection on the following pages. List current as of June 2004.
