We started collecting 80's
Arcade Games late in 1999. It wasn’t to long before the collection started to
get to big having grown into the dining room, living room and family room. Also
the number of folks visiting /playing the games exceeded the space available in
these rooms.
We decided to start
construction on an arcade, dance club and bar for entertaining; in the basement.
The large area in the rear of the basement was converted into the After completion of the Game Room / Dance Area it didn’t take long before we maxed out the entire space with 19 Arcade Games and a 10’ Skeeball machine also circa 1980’s. In the Lounge area we added 2 Tapper games (Budweiser and Root Beer), an 18 wheeler sit-down game and a bar top 48-in-one mini game. Although the arcade games change only every couple of years, the fun and good times continue on. At any given function; dance
tunes play thru the ceiling mounted speakers and bass tones erupt from a
12" sub in the game room. Fog fills the room, strobe lights flash as the
dance floor lights move to the music videos displayed on TVs and the At the bar we have bottled and tap beer, wine, shots and a full rail of adult type beverages. Of course Cokes® and other carbonated / fruit juices are available off the soda gun. TV located throughout the area show Sports programs or other requested programming. Of course there are munchies, other fingers foods and sometimes full dinners served at social events. We have even hosted birthday parties for young and old!!
